Canadian Forces Dental Care Plan (CFDCP)
Selfkant/Geilenkirchen Detachment
Dental Clinic - Emergency Sick Parade

Quimperléstr. 100 Selfkant-Kaserne, 52511 Geilenkirchen, Germany

Emergency Sick Parade:
Sick Parade for both military personnel and dependants is at 0800 hrs, Monday to Friday. Sick parade should be utilized for broken fillings, acute dental problems, etc. As in Canada, the Dental Detachment provides 24/7 after-hour's emergency coverage. Please note that there is only one Canadian Forces Dental Service (CFDS) Dental Officer for the Geilenkirchen area which means that he is on call 24/7, 365 days a year. As such, please restrict after hours Sick Parade calls to emergencies only, such as for significant pain or any swelling. However, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call.
The after-hours Canadian Duty Dentist cell number is +49-(0)172-769-2762.

For after-hours emergencies, military members are to first call the Canadian dentist on the Duty Dentist cell, +49(0)172-769-2762. If there is no answer, please leave a voicemail. You may also try calling the dentist's home number listed in the CFSU(E) phone directory. If your voicemail has not been responded to by the Canadian dentist within 15 minutes, please call the CFSU(E) Duty Officer for the German Duty Dentist list for the Geilenkirchen area. Military members who require the emergency services of a civilian dentist are to contact the Dental Detachment on the next business day to ensure that the civilian dentist bill is paid.  The civilian dentist is to send the bill to the following address:

1 Dental Unit Detachment Geilenkirchen
Commanding Office
Selfkant-Kaserne
Quimperlester Street 100
52511 Geilenkirchen, Germany

For after-hours emergencies for eligible civilians, they may either call the Canadian Duty Dentist cell phone, or may seek treatment from a civilian dentist directly. Civilians using a civilian dentist may use their insurance plan; however, there will be no re-imbursement by the CFDS for civilians being treated by a civilian dentist.

Additionally, emergency care after hours can be arranged by calling +31-(0)-45-71-1400 (Heerlen, NL). The operator will put you through to a Dutch dentist in the area. Alternatively you can call +49-(0)-241-709-616 (Aachen, Germany) for a recorded message in German of the dentists on call.
