Welcome to Heidelberg
CFPO 5053 Postfach 10-1707 69007 Heidelberg, Germany

On behalf of the Canadian Military Community, I wish you a warm welcome to Heidelberg, Germany. Whether you are a visitor, are assigned here on TD or have had the good fortune to be posted here, Heidelberg offers a balanced combination of culture, history and scenery that needs to be taken in all its glory. Our military members either belong to, or support, the Allied Land Component Command Headquarters- one of two such land component command HQ in the NATO Command Structure. This Headquarters has an exemplary history of NATO command and control expeditionary operations. Since 1996, the Headquarters has deployed to assume command or command support in SFOR, KFOR and ISAF (twice). Some of our CF members have deployed to Iraq in support of the NATO Training Mission there. Our Canadian training focus therefore lies in the area of individual readiness to support operations. The CF members posted here make a significant contribution to the overall efficiency and character of the headquarters.

Having said this, it is important to note that the CF community here also enjoys a unique and ambitious social and activity program designed to enhance group cohesion and afford the Heidelberg community with numerous travel opportunities. Through this site we hope that you will take advantage of the information and services offered here, from our Welcome Package, to PSP activities, all the way to your return back to Canada.

Your feedback is important as it relates to this site, and I encourage you to contact our Administrator with your ideas to make it better.

Welcome again to Heidelberg. You will not be disappointed.
